Finally, a Taste of a Trail Run!

So, I did my first run this year – a half marathon – if the one that I did at KL International Jazz Earth Run about a month earlier wasn’t even considered a run. This time I did it in Muar, or at Muar Cross Country Half Marathon to be exact. It was also an overambitious plan of conquering Mt Ophir and running for a half marathon back to back on a single weekend. Erkk!

Muar that I found out was such a big and busy town. Located at the mouth of Muar River, it is a town that has a very long history where beautiful buildings with historical values still exist in abundance. Continue reading

Save Bukit Tabur

BUKIT TABUR is without doubt one of the best and probably most easily accessible hiking destinations in KL. For me it is one of the most precious natural gifts that God (or your God) has granted to KL and its inhabitants. I mean, seriously, when I first scaled the hill all the way up to its peak/s, the beauty of Bukit Tabur and the wonderful view that it offered from up there had taken me by surprise.

A Little Weekend Escapade to Langkawi

Finally, after spending so many years in the Peninsular of Malaysia, I finally set foot in the last state of Malaysia that I had never been to yet – Perlis. Having said that, I can finally say that I have been to all the states in this country – like each and every one of them. So what do I feel now? I feel truly Malaysian. Heh.

Thanks to my trip to Langkawi – which was my very first time there, it was actually a trip that covered four states in one go, or rather five since I started off from KL then Selangor before dashing across Perak and later Kedah all the way to Perlis. 8 hours were all it took. Thanks God, it was an overnight ride so I didn’t really feel a hell of a ride since I slept through most of the hours. Continue reading

Colmar Tropicale – That French Little Town in Malaysia

It’s been awhile. I had been too tied down to so many concerns about the future of my country that I couldn’t even bring myself to do anything more fruitful than ranting and swearing of what is happening in this beautiful country of ours. Now that it is all over (is it?), I wanna get back to what I have always considered one of the best therapies that a bachelor like me could do – blogging. Ahaks!

Then I remembered, I haven’t really blogged about a place that I went to with mom and niece not so long time ago. Continue reading
